Natural resources


Barguna Sadar Upazila has no natural resources. However, there are a large amount of humus available in this region. Barguna Sadar Upazila every year, there is a lot of watermelon from different lands. Tamarum is unique in Sadar upazila. Every year from Barguna Sadar Upazila, many watermelon capital is sent to different places of the country including Dhaka. In the production and marketing profession of watermelon production, employment of thousands of people in this area has been created.
